Any help for fixing the "show items from" funciton would be massively appreciated. I'm in the UK, using ebay.co.uk and both "from preferred location" and "located in" funcitons give global results.

Thanks a million

I'm in the UK and am seeing exactly the same - worldwide results still being returned by AS despite any kind of geographic restriction applied.

Either ebay have started ignoring the selected region, or they have changed how this feature is implemented. It's pretty important for us in the UK as import VAT and duty now rarely makes buying anything other than the very cheapest items from overseas worthwhile.

In fact I've noticed more than this - exclude seller doesn't appear to be working (I've tried excluding the worst overseas sellers and the returned results ignore this). (Given the many 100s of overseas results, this is not AS missing "Results matching fewer words" - there are multiple pages returned.) Example search - "(hdd, "hard disc", hard disk", "hard drive", "disk drive", "disc drive") (12tb, "12 tb") -sas -faulty -"2.5 inch" -dock -2.5 -docking -board" excluding sellers "egoods.supply iuppiterbv technodeals 24hmemorystore" restricted to £121 and located in United Kingdom produces (among the many results returned) 20+ along the lines of "Seagate Enterprise 12TB 3.5" SATA HDD 7200rpm for NAS Synology DiskSta." from German seller "24h MemoryStore"

It gets worse - I've been away on holiday for a short while and upon return the sieve results for rare items (that would usually have 10 or less results) are often garbage. For example, a search for a partiicular motherboard model "Gigabyte GA-H61N-D2V" (restricted only to £20 max) now brings up 50 or so other Gigabyte motherboard items - it's as if AS has lost the ability to see that ebay has changed the search, or AS has stopped ignoring the junk "Results matching fewer words". (Other example searches doing the same are "Fujitsu W530" restricted to £40 and "i7 3770T" restricted to £28.)

(While we're at it, a summary of other current problems with AS:
* Still getting sieve results with 0 or blank for the item number, which then drop straight into Price History if watched. Not exactly the same behaviour now - but this has been around for a while!
* Getting multiple "Shop on eBay" blank sieve results with a 20USD price and blank/0 item number (it's been around for a while but seems to come and go - it's recently come back.
* Getting multiple sieve results where the title looks something like "<div class="s-item__image-wrapper image-treatment"><img src=https://i.ebayimg.com/thumbs/images/g/cZYAAOSwHBRmOfP3/s-l500.jpg loading=eager fetchpriority=high onload="SITE_SPEED.ATF_TIMER.measure(this);;if(this.width === 80 && this.height === 80) {window.SRP.metrics.incrementCounter('imageEmptyError');}" onerror="window.SRP.metrics.incrementCounter('imageLoadError');" style=" ;width:500px;" data-defer-load=https://i.ebayimg.com/thumbs/images/g/cZYAAOSwHBRmOfP3/s-l500.jpg alt="Dell Precision 3440 SFF PC Xeon W1250 32GB RAM 512GB NvME + 2TB HDD (VG)"></div>" - of which only the first section (to around the word "thumbs") is visible in the sieve results window. The title is corrected once added to the watchlist. This has been around a while and reported by others.
* Many of the Watchlist columns do not work properly. Bids, High Bidder, Seller and Time left are blank or appear as ?. Time left in particular is carried from the sieve result - but then disappears, sometimes the same happens for Price. This has obvious implications for Price History also. Has been reported previously here, here, here, here, here and here... you get the point.)

It was a pleasant surprise to see you back on the forum recently Nev - hope you are well and fingers crossed that maybe you have time to look at even a couple of these issues.

Cheers
Andrew
(sorry for the long post)

PS - <RANT> about the current state of ebay. The AI descriptions are an utter waste of time, telling you nothing about the product (in fact often making false claims; a 20 year old computer part being "fast, modern and ideal for gaming") - and the item listing process now automatically places the item in a category of ebay's choice; making category searches useless as so much is in the wrong category now! </RANT>

I'm having similar frustrations. AS has stopped working for me and there is nothing like it available elsewhere. I'm also hoping that Nev can fix it - I would happily pay to keep it going.

This one may be fat head / fat fingers on my part - looks like I'd copied the shop name.

24h MemoryStore is the shop name, the seller ID is superfonse2000.
iuppiterbv similarly is seller ID iuppiter79.
EDIT also technodeals is technodeals1.

Ebay is doing a good job of hiding the seller ID now Crying or Very sad , the only place I can find it in these stores is hidden in the "Seller's other items" link under the "_ssn=" tag.

Just to be clear - the main problem (that AS sieve results appear to ignore graphical restrictiions) is very much still a problem.

I'm also noticing pricing resrictions being ignored - with that and the junk appearing in all my sieves, I'm suspicious that it's entirely a problem with the junk "Results matching fewer words" results.

Yo, I'm still here.
Sorry for the bugs...

I can't seem to replicate the geographic problem.

I've got a sieve using ebay.co.uk and using Show items seems to work both "located in UK" and "from preferred locations UK only"
Also using ebay.com and "located in UK"

Can you give me example sieve details that exhibit the issue?

Also tried the price restrictions and seem to be working for me.

Pleased to see you are still around Nev, the bugs are not your fault, it's ebay changing things...

I'm reasonably sure that one problem is AS is actually not catching the "Results matching fewer words" rubbish results and including those as legitimate - actually now I'm certain of it. The cause of the geographic one may be the same (items located elsewhere appearing in these "Results matching fewer words") or may be different? Anyway, some examples:

First example:
Search "i7 3770T" Store items included, Show items From Preferred locations UK Only, Restricted to £28 maximum

No (zero) results on ebay UK. But "Results matching fewer words" includes i7 3770S, 3770K, plain 3770, i7 930 processors and i7 stickers - and these exact listings (e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235294708835 for the stickers) are returned as legitimate sieve results in AS.

Second example:
Search "Gigabyte GA-H61N-D2V" Store items included, Show items From Preferred locations Worldwide, Restricted to £20 maximum

11 legitimate results when I do the same search directly on ebay (although none are actually what I'm looking for). But AS returns 53 results for this search, including items such as https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126530934159 (GA-H61M-DS2), https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256546005105 (GA-H61M-S2PV) and https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176213713477 (GA-H81M-S2V) which are not the model I'm looking for - and all of which appear in the "Results matching fewer words" on ebay.

Third example:
Search "Fujitsu W530" Store items included, Show items From Preferred locations Worldwide, Restricted to £40 maximum

Supposedly 41 legitimate results (again none what I'm actually looking for) but among the results returned by AS are AH530 laptops ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/374658487886) and the power supplies for them ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283611028464) - none of which are in the legitimate results, but all of which are in the "Results matching fewer words".

Fourth (and a geographic) example:
Search "(hdd, "hard disc", hard disk", "hard drive", "disk drive", "disc drive") (14tb, "14 tb") -sas -faulty -"2.5 inch" -dock -2.5 -docking -board" Store items included, Show items From Preferred locations UK only, Restricted to £111 maximum

Gives 53 "legitimate" results on the ebay UK website - but AS also generates 4 very similar results ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176461383109, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176464691200, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176464784719, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176464911490) from seller iuppiter79 (iuppiterbv) based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Interestingly in this case there's no "Results matching fewer words" rubbish displayed to me on the ebay website (and these results picked up by AS are not in the legitimate website results either).

Fifth (and another geographic) example:
Search "(hdd, "hard disc", hard disk", "hard drive", "disk drive", "disc drive") (12tb, "12 tb") -sas -faulty -"2.5 inch" -dock -2.5 -docking -board" Store items included, Show items From Preferred locations UK only, Restricted to £95 maximum

AS brings up two items from seller egoods.supply ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285851136623, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285851138584) both based in Walnut, California, United States. On the ebay UK website there's 72 results with no sign of them (and again no "Results matching fewer words" either).

Ooooh - Thank you - the 3.2.0 Watch List is soooo much better!

Sixth (another geographic) example:
Search "(cpu, cpus, processor, processors) gold recovery" Store items included, Show items From Preferred locations UK only, Restricted to £60 maximum

33 legitimate results - and below that "82 items found from eBay international sellers"!!! This will be the problem! AS is also not catching these rubbish results, and is returning them as legitimate.

As an example I'm seeing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156295562253 in my AS sieve results which is from a seller based in Riga, Latvia - and is an item listed only under the "82 items found from eBay international sellers".

Note I've not found an example (yet) where ebay lists items of higher cost as part of these "NN items found from eBay international sellers" or "Results matching fewer words" - but I'm reasonably sure that something along the lines of 'Results not matching your search criteria', 'Other items from ebay', or 'Other items you might like' can appear as well, allowing higher cost items to be shown.

Firstly the 'has ended' filter will be an absolute gamer changer for me. So thank you for that!

If you needed another example to try and replicate the unwanted results I have:

search term: (A KIND OF GUISE, ACNE,acronym)
must be auction
located in UK
category: 57989 (mens clothing)

I'll get results from the states such as the below
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186552424872
